Hello and how are you doing? If we can be of any help phone us, if we don’t answer the phone, please leave a message and we will get back to you. We think of you often and hold you in our prayers. The grace of Christ, the love of God and the Power of the Holy Spirit be with you.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:
“Coffee & Connect” Wednesdays @ 10 am.
Our Roof Fundraiser Bottle Drive has gone extremely well!
And our Eastern Star ladies have collected enough can tabs where they might get two wheelchairs!

OPENING PRAYER:
Christ who lives within us, invites us to pause and give praise. We take time out from planting, weeding, and mowing to worship the one who sets us free. The Spirit that leads us, gathers us in community. We come to worship the one who turns our fears, our worries and our doubts into perceptions of love. We come as humans longing for the divine. We come in faith; to be renewed, and reset by your presence and love. Amen.

OPENING HYMN:
Voices United #651 “Guide Me O Thou Great Jehovah”

SCRIPTURE READING:
Luke 6:43-49

REFLECTION:
“We Are Called to Do Something, But Not EVERYthing”

CLOSING HYMN:
Voices United #472 “O Jesus, Joy of Loving Hearts”

CLOSING PRAYER:
Let us pray God of light, we have heard your message, proclaimed of old, that in you there is no dark cloud; nothing exists that can hide the light of your presence.

Thank you that we can freely praise and worship you and to bring our cares and burdens to you. It’s good have this time to put aside the cares of life and the busyness of living. We’re hurrying about, planning, preparing, fixing, organizing and worrying about how everything is going to turn out.

Forgive us when we cling to the shadows, failing to heed your call to wake up and join the work of your reign. Give us a heart to do your deeds of mercy and peace: to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, console the sorrowing, pray for prisoners and welcome the stranger.

Comfort those who are living in the shadow of grief, shattered by the loss of children, parents, spouses, friends, and colleagues. Give assurance to all who are missing loved ones, filling them with peace and strength.

We pray for leaders. Give them wisdom and understanding to make the best decisions for the many important and critical situations they face.

We pray for the defeat of ISIS and other terrorists groups that destroy and kill the innocent. May their evil and wicked schemes be thwarted.

We lift up to you those who have family and relationship problems, may they find hope, help and healing.

For the elderly, the shut-in, the sick and the dying. May they receive good care and nurturing love.

We pray for all God’s created to get to know you better, so we may get to experience the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth.

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

CLOSING WORDS:
The Lord bless you and keep you:
The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
