It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Or… is it?

Maybe this Christmas you are:

Grieving…Lonely... Worried… Hurting…

This time of year may not feel as bright and cheery as we expect, but in the midst of the difficult emotions and memories that come with this season, we can hold tightly to the truth that the birth of Christ means there is hope in even the darkest of situations.

God’s light shines brighter than the darkness we face.

Grief, loss, financial hardship, and physical challenges all cause distress and can make Christmas hurt.

We invite you to join us for our Blue Christmas Service

Christmas is not always joyful for all people. It can be a time of sorrow, of loss, of loneliness, or despair.

Please join us Thursday, December 21st at 7pm for our Blue Christmas service. May you find comfort and peace in worship.

For many people, this is a difficult time of year. Loss and grief, injury or ill health, unemployment or money insecurities can make this "festive" season feel jarring and anything but a time of celebration.

That is why we will be offering an online Blue Christmas service of prayers, songs, and meditation.

Please join us and know that you are not alone.

Not everyone feels like celebrating at Christmas time, and that's okay. We all deal with stress and grief and loss in different ways. You are not alone!

We will be having a Blue Christmas online service December 21st. Please join us for readings, hymns, prayers, and hope.

Christmas can be a painful time for some. The constant refrain on radio and television, in shopping malls and churches, about the happiness of the season, about getting together with family and friends, can remind many people of what they have lost of have never had.

Our spirits sink, as days grow shorter. We feel the darkness growing deeper around us. We need the space and time to acknowledge our sadness and concern. We need to know that we are not alone. We need encouragement to live the days ahead of us. 

For those reasons, Kerrobert United Church is offering a special Blue Christmas/Longest Night service which will be available ONLINE at 7PM December 21st. A link will be posted here at that time, or you can go to our YouTube page.
