Today we celebrate the birth of a baby.
The mystery is deep and compelling – and beyond our comprehension.
This was an act of supreme love by a trio: God, Mary, and Joseph.
• God to gift us with a son, born to be our Saviour.
• Mary to agree to be the mother of a King.
• Joseph to listen to the angel and believe in Mary.
When the presents have been opened, when the dishes from the feast have been washed, when the wrapping paper is thrown away, and when the sparkling lights go dark, this is what remains – the extraordinary love that we have been given.
Feel it all around you. It is with you every day. The love of God will never leave you. And it is up to us to share it with those around us.
