OPENING PRAYER:
The light is gleaming; surrounding us with an all-encompassing love. Ushering in the coming of spring and warm weather, new growth, new promise. May we, with grateful hearts gather in spirit and in mind to praise and worship you. With surrendered hearts giving thanks for all the good that’s here, right now. Renew our love for you and each other through this time of worship. Amen.

HYMN: VU #382 “Breathe on Me, Breath of God”

SCRIPTURE READING: Philippians 2:1-11
Christ's Humility and Greatness

REFLECTION: “O Lord, Let Me Be a Potato”

CLOSING PRAYER:
Let us pray.
Lord, thank you for your mercy and your grace which is new every morning. We thank you for the warm weather after a long winter. We thank you for each other, for community and like-mindedness.
We pray for the heart position of humility. Humility in such a way that we do not cheapen our own worth or value within, but that we take the position that we are here for a greater purpose than just our own gain. We pray that You will highlight to us what it truly means to live a humble life, and that our own worth will be revealed by Your Light. It is only then that we may truly live in freedom and right standing.
We pray for healing and peace for the people’s everywhere; for our countries, our nations, and the world. We lift up to you: the grieving, the dying, the elderly and housebound. Those who are struggling with fear, depression, and loneliness.
We thank you for those who are looking after the sick and dying, bringing them hope in the midst of separation from loved ones. Bring comfort to those who are grieving and feel helpless with longing to be at their loved one’s side.
Give us strength and courage to hang in and have hope for future togetherness.
We surrender ourselves and our loved ones to you.

We pray to you who is our mother and our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil; for thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

HYMN: VU #506 “Take My Life and Let It Be”

CLOSING WORDS:
The Lord bless you and keep you:
The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.
